WWE Monday Night Raw streamed live on Netflix on June 16, 2025, bringing major developments as two Fatal 4-Way tournament matches headlined the night. Broadcasting from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, this week’s episode also marked the surprise return of Goldberg and a serious injury to Liv Morgan that halted her match.
Goldberg Challenges Gunther for the Title
The night kicked off with superstar arrivals including World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Bayley, and Jey Uso. Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio opened the in-ring action before being interrupted and chased off by IYO SKY. However, the biggest surprise came when Goldberg appeared and challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match is officially set for Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.
Fatal 4-Ways Shake Up King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments
Two first-round tournament matches highlighted the card. In the Queen of the Ring bracket, Asuka overcame Stephanie Vaquer, Ivy Nile, and Raquel Rodriguez. Rhea Ripley’s attack on Rodriguez created the opening for Asuka to pick up the win via pinfall.
Later in the night, Jey Uso emerged victorious in the King of the Ring Fatal 4-Way against Rusev, Sheamus, and “Big” Bronson Reed. The match descended into chaos as Sami Zayn, LA Knight, and Penta all interfered, giving Jey the edge to move forward in the tournament.
Liv Morgan Injured Mid-Match
One of the most serious moments of the night came during Liv Morgan’s scheduled match against Kairi Sane. The contest was abruptly stopped when Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder. WWE medical staff immediately attended to her, and the referee declared Sane the winner by stoppage. The extent of Morgan’s injury and her status for Money in the Bank remains uncertain.
AJ Styles Earns Singles Win
AJ Styles also scored a clean win against JD McDonagh, despite McDonagh having Dominik Mysterio at ringside. Styles secured the pinfall after a competitive bout.
As the road to Money in the Bank continues, WWE Raw delivered high drama, tournament intensity, and a returning legend aiming for championship gold.
