[feel warm and happy] or [feel warmTH and happiness]

Post by ansonman »

I have made up the sentences below.

(1) When my grandparents were old, I spent quality time with them so that they could feel warm and happy.

(2) When my grandparents were old, I spent quality time with them so that they could feel warmth and happiness.

I am not sure which form of the highlighted words is correct. Thank you for your help.

Both possible, but (1) is more idiomatic.
