Correct usage of "as" in the sentence

Can I use "as" in the sentence to specify a new entity having same values as the old entity? For example:
"I dropped a heavy red box and picked up blue box as heavy"
Does this sentence correctly convey a message that a blue box is as heavy, as the red box?

Not possible:
"I dropped a heavy red box and picked up blue box as heavy" :nok:

The following are idiomatic and possible:
I dropped THE heavy red box and picked up A blue box THAT WAS JUST as heavy :ok:
I dropped THE heavy red box and picked up AN EQUALLY heavy blue box :ok:
