Adding -ly
We often make an adverb by adding -ly to an adjective, for example: quick, quickly
Spelling Rule
Just add -ly to the end of the adjective:
- coy, coyly
- loud, loudly
- beautiful, beautifully
- senseless, senselessly
- intelligent, intelligently
Exceptions
(note: C=consonant)
