Canadians are known by their peacefulness. I don’t know how things work there, if there is many people with guns like in US or if the sell is controlled by the government. But we rarely hear news about streets violence from there.
I think the police officer has made the best.

I think so but it is difficult to know if this decision will work every time a mad person tries to hurt people. Anyway nobody was hurt. This ist the most important thing.

First, thank you for this week’s news report.
Second, I could understand the audio news report without seeing the text in the first step and could fill in the blanks except one word (sidewalk).
I heard it “sidebar”.
Third, the above audio news report is very easy for me and hope to be easy for all learners too.
I do hope other learners to leave their comments here that we can know all of learners’ opinions.
I come to this page every day and become so sad when I see no one leaves her/his comment here.
I do like all learners to be active here. It’s several week that I only leave the comment on the audio news reports.Fourth, it’s a good news for us that to see the police officer refused to shoot the man.
I myself think the police should use in these situations the ways that can arrest attackers peacefully.
