Jamal Kashoggi Named Person of the Year

Time magazine has chosen “The Guardians” as its Person of the Year for 2018. This includes murdered Saudi Jamal Kashoggi as well as three other journalists and one news . Every year, Time recognizes the “person or group of people who most influenced the news and the world for better or for during the past year.” Time magazine said those who were chosen (Capital Gazette, Jamal Kashoggi, Maria Ressa, Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo) represent many other journalists around the world who their lives to cover current events. This is the first time in that Time has named a deceased person as Person of the Year.
