MP with Baby Forced to Leave Parliament in Kenya

A female MP was asked to leave parliament in this week after bringing her five-month-old baby with her to work. Zuleika Hassan that she brought her baby because was unable to get childcare that day, and there was no on site. Other female MPs showed support for colleague by walking out of the chamber with her. While the house rules say that “strangers” including children are not allowed in the chamber, the MP argued that the government should set an by offering family-friendly workspaces.
