Writing Prompt ~ Infinitive or -ing?

Writing Prompt: Many English learners have difficulty choosing between the infinitive form and the -ing form. Native English speakers don’t think about this. They know which one to choose by what sounds right. English learners have to learn the rules and memorize which verbs come before the infinitive and -ing form. Review the basic rules about when to use an infinitive and when to use -ing. Then write a paragraph about some of the hobbies you had when you were a child.

Maybe it seems somehow strange, but I am happy for thinking big from childhood. -

When I was a child, my mother took us to the fair, we had a lot of fun in the games, she also took us to the orchards for vegetables but I didn’t like it very much because it was very hot and I was very tired.
Being the younger sister they always sent me to run errands, she always bought something for me.
I helped my aunt Antonia in her business of selling eggs, I was in charge of selling them at the counter. I really liked that job. My aunt had many very cute cats, that’s why I really like cats.
I had two puppies and two cats as pets, they were very cute with me and they always kept me company, when I came home from school they received me with a lot of affection and love. They were called chiti, boots, metens and gordon.
I really liked playing with rope and ball with my friends from the neighborhood, we also played bicycle races and dolls, it was undoubtedly a very beautiful time. -

When I was a child, I and my family went on a trip to S.L.P. Everything was very fun because we went to Tangamanga Park. We met the city museum and also went swimming, although I don’t remember the name of the place we went to. From there we went to a wedding to which we had to attend the village of cerritos. I remember that it was very fun. The music band played songs of the sonora santanera, vicente fernandez, aleks syntec and the music in English how la bamba, blue moon, my way and the bee gees songs.
Also, my mom and my were going to Tangamanga park, and we got on the train, we visited the planetarium and i played in the swings. They are the best memories i have of my childhood.

Another kind of internship that I had as a child was reading, I loved to take a look at the encyclopedias kept in the bookshelf at home, I saw all the sections there were to read, my first book was “War and Peace” by León Tolstoy, My parents bought it for me on a trip to Jalisco when I was 10 years old.

When i was a little girl i always was playing with my cousins, every weekend my fathers, uncles and aunts were eating in my grandma’s house. My mom always brought napolitano ice cream for dessert and everybody really enjoyed eating in summer vacations.
Sometimes the reuinons were in the park and everybody were playing football or voleyball, that time was a good chilhood! -

When I was a little girl I liked to play with my cousins to dolls, we liked to go out on skates to the street. Also my aunt used to take me to her house once a week to watch movies and live with the family. Then I used to go swimming with my friends from school. We are happy to have freedom at that age. I also like to skip the rope when I was a child and swing on the swing. When I was 6 years old I learned to ride a bicycle and when I was nine years old, we were old enough to ride a bicycle to the corner store or to a friend’s house to do homework. My dad went out with me and my sisters to the jumper on horse, that was very quiet and since then I like to walk in the ranch on horseback, I am not a horse riding professional but fortunately no accident has ever happened to me, I love to run them, it is a hobby for me

When I was a child, i did play soccer, i was play at the stadium of Matehuala (“El estanque”) with the team junior of Tigres, i was happy to play soccer because i saw the soccer at the TV, in the weekends some times i go to swimming at a pool of “Florida”, my mom thinks that swimming is a good excercise and this time im chubby and i need to lose weight. then i used to go with my friends and play in the playstation and table games, I really enjoyed riding with my friends in the bus for the city. when i was eleven i go to USA with my family at Houston, some years late i back to houston and go to Rocket Stadium to watch a play of rockets houston vs Chicago bulls, the rockets lost, but the experience was great!
